Positions and Job Descriptions

 

General CoordinatorPerson(s) in charge of overseeing general operation of ACTION.  Responsible for making sure all projects are prayerfully sought out, courteously performed, and completed to the satisfaction of the client.   Responsible for communicating with the Church Fund Rep as to the cost and scope of each project, making sure all payments are made and keeping records.  The general coordinator will conduct periodic meetings with other coordinators to ensure proper communication among all parties. Will provide motivation to all parties involved.

 

Volunteer CoordinatorPerson(s) responsible for notifying potential workers of up-coming projects and acquiring the necessary commitment from them to help.  (This would likely include someone from the Parent Committee.) 

 

Search CoordinatorPerson(s) responsible for actively pursuing potential projects from the community.  Guidelines should follow Gal. 6:10 “As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith.”  Therefore the priority should be both to our own Brethren and to the community in general. 

 

Project CoordinatorPerson(s) responsible for carrying out the actual work project.  They will look at the project, estimate the cost, make a recommendation to the General Coordinator as to doing or not doing the project, schedule the work, and order all material. (This needs to be a variety of people with varied expertise in the construction field.) 

 

Mission Coordinator Person(s) responsible for making sure each project is specifically prayed for by prayer partners for not only safety, but also that the Gospel message would in some way go out to each client that we serve.  Responsible for making sure each client is personally given a Bible and invited to Church (if applicable).
